Frequently asked questions concerning OPD event:

 

  • Where is the OPD conference taking place?  
  • What is the venue for dinner:
  • Where can I register?  
    • All registrations are done in conftool HERE: https://www.conftool.com/opd2025/
    • For first time the system asks to create profile, and then you can continue to register for the OPD-event.
  • What is the payment policy?
    • Payment policy:
      • Payments by invoice are available until 15th of April, after that payments only by credit / debit card.
      • Please make sure that your payments are done before coming to OPD2025.
      • If your payment has done recently (in May), please have the payment confirmation receipt available for check to avoid unnecessary waiting at the venue.
      • Exhibitors: The payments needs to be done before table place selection.
        • Table places are shared in the order of the registration during spring 2025, if the company has not make the payment in due time the registration position will be automatically moved to last.
  • I would like to attend only for a one day, is there one day tickets available?
    • No. We have only full conference tickets available.
  • Is the conference dinner included to the registration price? 
    • Yes, but you need to select it during your registration, same goes for the Get Together 
  • What if I have registered for the dinner but can’t join? 
    • Please notify us, we will transfer your seat to another person (especially if the number of seats are limited) 
  • Can I transfer my already paid registration to other person?
    • Yes you can, and without extra cost. Contact our team for the arrangement.
  • I am Exhibitor, how can I select my table place?
    • All Exhibitor tables will be shared in the order of the registration.
    • Table selection will start February 2025 – Exhibitors will be contacted individually.
  • I am foreign Exhibitor (joining outside of Finland) – Do I have to pay VAT?
    • Yes – B2B services in respect of admission to cultural, artistic, sporting, scientific, educational, entertainment and similar events will be taxed at the place where those events actually take place [Article 53 of the VAT Directive]

  • How many extra exhibitors can I register with my booth?  
    • Gold sponsors: 15 persons 
    • Silver sponsors: 10 persons
    • Regular booth: 5 persons 
      • Please notice that all extra exhibitors needs to be under one & the same Exhibitor invoice to benefit the Exhibitor extra pricing.
  • As an exhibitor, do I need to book an “extra dinner ticket” to participate to the dinner? 
    • No, exhibitors have full conference access which includes the get together and conference dinner.
  • Can the accompanying person with “dinner ticket” also access to the conference?  
    • No, this ticket is meant for a person that will be with you during the dinner and get together, this is not a full conference ticket.  
  • When is my session?  
    • Conftool schedule tool has the latest version of the program, especially for posters 
  • How can I get the student pricing?  
    • The undergraduate student price is meant for full time students that have not graduated yet, still doing their master of bachelor studies. If you are registered as a student on the side while being in a professional career, you need to register as a regular attendee. 
      • Organizing team has right to check, inform, and change your registration status if needed.
  • I am a PhD student, can I get the student pricing? 
    • Yes, you can have the PhD student pricing until you graduate.
    • Once you are graduated, you should register as a regular attendee.
  • I registered as a free participant, can I attend the get together evening? 
    • No, but you can join the get together and dinner by registering “extra dinner ticket”, which includes access to the Get Together and the conference dinner. 
  • I registered as a free participant, can I access one plenary talk?
    • No. To attend the conference Academic and Industry program you need to pay the registration fee related to your status (Student, PhD Student, regular…)
  • How do I cancel my participation?  
    • Refund policy:
      • Regular registrations: Cancellations made after 5th May are non refundable.
        • Cancellations made before 5th May: there will be a handling fee of 50€ if the payment was already made and you ask for a refund (accounting costs)
      • Exhibitors and Sponsors: Cancellations made after 9th April are non refundable.
        • Cancellations made before 9th April: there will be a handling fee of 50€ if the payment was already made and you ask for a refund (accounting costs)
