Optics and Photonics Days 2023 will be held in the University of Eastern Finland (UEF), Joensuu. The dinner will take place in Original Sokos Hotel Kimmel, which is located next to the main train station in Joensuu.
Ground floor of the OPD 2022 venue will be allocated for the Registration, Coffee breaks and Exhibition. There are 35 exhibitor tables available. Lunch will be available at the restaurant Carelia (1st floor) and restaurant Aura (the building next to Carelia).
The Industry and Academic session Auditoriums are located in the 2nd floor. Poster sessions will be held in the 2nd floor lobby and divided in two sessions (posters in both sessions will be available for one conference day). Lunch will take place in the restaurant, also located in the ground floor.
Upper floor of the OPD 2023 venue will be allocated for Industry and Academic sessions (Auditoriums C1 and C2), and for poster sessions to be held in the 2nd floor lobby.
How to reach the venue if you come by train:
Once you arrive to the Joensuu railway station, it is about 2km walk to the venue. First you need to go across the bridge to the city center and then continue straight once you see the UEF / Carelia buildings. Once you UEF, you will easily spot the Carelia, since its the tallest building and comes almost first visible. Please see map below for more information.
